Our Classic Wood Columns Are A Wonderful Addition To Any Office Or Home

Melton Classics is proud to announce that they offer a complete line of
architecturally correct wood columns. They are available in matching square, round, or pilaster configurations. Every element of each column is carefully sculpted from the proportions and bowed taper of the shaft to the fluting.

Our wood columns are crafted to carry on the timeless beauty of true architectural columns.Classic Wood shafts are constructed with the finest clear wood available. All of our staves are glued with waterproof glue which is a great addition to have when dealing with any type of column. After the glue is applied, they are then bound under pressure and left to cure for at least 24 hours.

After the 24 hours has passed, the shaft is then precision turned using state of the art equipment and with the help of our woodworking artisans. Every single one of our wood columns are treated with wood preservative, hand finished, and carefully inspected before being shipped. This process just assures consistent quality for each customer.

If you are needing an exterior column it will have to be coated with asphaltum on the inside for waterproofing. You can specify our classic wood columns as either plain or fluted and they all are completely load bearing. We offer out exterior column shafts in a variety of different wood species.For interior needs, pine, poplar, maple, cherry and many other designs are available.
