A balustrade is a series of relatively short posts “balusters” that support a railing, generally on a porch, roof top, stairway, or balcony. Throughout history balustrade has been incorporated into fine buildings and homes by architects around the world to create functional safety railings while adding elegance and dramatic beauty to fine architecture.
